Your assignment
As a senior engineer, you will not only bring in-depth expertise in product development, design for manufacturing, and quality assurance, but also lead advanced innovation initiatives and partners closely with cross-functional teams to ensure market readiness and alignment with customer needs.
You will also support the mentoring of a small team of engineers to deliver high-quality, innovative products that meet stringent industry standards and elevate brand positioning.
Essential duties:
- Lead the end-to-end design and development of innovative products, focusing on fasteners, coatings, and building materials.
- Provide technical expertise in metallurgy, coatings, and material science, ensuring products meet durability, performance, and quality benchmarks.
- Drive product validation and troubleshooting efforts, collaborating with cross-functional teams and aligning designs with brand objectives.
- Partner closely with CAMO, STINGER, and PRO-FIT brand owners, marketing, and sourcing teams to align product designs with market needs and strategic goals.
- Lead efforts to optimize product designs for efficient external manufacturing, ensuring cost-effectiveness with overseas manufacturing partners.
- Mentor and guide other engineers, providing technical leadership and facilitating a collaborative development environment.
- Maintain strong oversight of compliance, adhering to building codes, safety standards, and performance regulations across regional markets.
- Track industry advancements and trends to integrate cutting-edge materials and technologies into new and existing product designs.

Required skills:

- Expertise in metallurgy, coatings, and material science specifically for fasteners and the building products industry.
- Advanced proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., Catia, SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for mechanical design and detailed product development.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and oversee multiple projects to successful completion.
- In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes and experience managing relationships with overseas manufacturers.
- Thorough understanding of industry standards, building codes, and safety regulations across regional markets.
- Advanced problem-solving skills with demonstrated experience in troubleshooting and technical innovation.

- Successfully lead the development and launch of products that exceed performance, durability, and safety standards, aligning with company strategy.
- Achieve on-time, on-budget product delivery while meeting all customer and stakeholder requirements.
- Drive meaningful innovation in product design, especially in areas related to metallurgy, coatings, and advanced materials.
- Effectively mentor other engineers, cultivating a collaborative and innovation-focused engineering environment.
- Maintain 100% compliance with industry regulations and standards, optimizing for manufacturability and cost efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, product design, or a related field (master’s preferred).
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in product design and development; building materials, fasteners, or construction products preferred.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in metallurgy, coatings, and material science applications.
- Proven track record of leading product development projects from conceptualization to market launch.
- Experience collaborating with overseas manufacturing teams to ensure efficient, high-quality production.
