The STINGER Brand...

It goes back to the 1970s, when National Nail fashioned the first plastic cap out of an old milk jug. What can we say—we drink from the innovation jug!

STINGER—a brand entirely devoted to all things for the building envelope— was officially launched in 2007 with the introduction of the first line-up of non-pneumatic cap hammers and collated caps. Since then, the STINGER family has grown to include pneumatic cap staplers, pneumatic cap nailers, synthetic underlayment, metal roofing accessories, and more. As the industry changes with building codes and product advancements, STINGER continues to evolve to provide contractors worldwide with innovative products that are fast, easy, safe and affordable for each of their roofing and siding needs.

You will join…

You will join an Executive Team comprised of leaders seasoned in their respective area of assignment. This is a team that leverages and leans on each other to build our culture, develop our people and create our future.

Your Assignment...

Your assignment will be to develop and drive the global growth plans for our STINGER Brand. From new product innovation, brand messaging and connecting with users on job sites, your influence will be transformative.

You will lead a Stinger sales team that will largely be focused on engaging with roofing and siding contractors. Introducing, training and connecting them to the preferred and better Stinger solutions of attaching shingles, sidewalls, underlayment’s and more.

You will develop trusting relationships with the largest roofing wholesale, retail and building materials channel influencers. You will be expected to lead our partnerships with GAF, Owens Corning, Tyvek and other OEM’s and engage with their teams to promote the better way of attaching their products. The Stinger Way!!

This is not an assignment for a first timer. This is an assignment for a forward thinking leader who has built or has had a key role in building a global brand.

Additional key requirements for this Assignment include:

  • Character matters to us and it should matter to you.
  • A brand leader or similar leadership role.
  • 10+ years of related experience.
  • Bilingual – Spanish a plus
  • History of leading aggressive product initiatives accomplishing significant growth.
  • Served on an executive or other leadership team.
  • Accountability for profit/loss, market share/growth performance.
  • Global experience in Europe, Australia, Scandinavian countries and Canada a plus.
  • Respected by your peers, customers and suppliers for your integrity and critical thinking.
  • Lead a Sales Team that delivers brand conversion at the field user level.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and direct initiates across organization.
  • Roofing wholesale, shingle OEM, and building material channel leadership a must.
